Le Banquet de l’AHME pour les niveaux Initiation, Novice et Atome aura lieu dimanche le 10 avril 2011. Nous avons opté pour un format différent pour le Banquet cette année, où chaque niveau aura sont propre Banquet. Un goûter et des breuvages seront disponibles incluant Timbits, fromage, fruits, légumes, muffins, café, eau et jus. L’horaire pour le Banquet est:
- Initiation: 9h30 à 10h30
- Novice: 11h00 à 12h00
- Atome: 13h00 à 14h00
Nous aurons des prix, des tirages, 50/50 et une vente aux enchères silencieuse.
Nous vous attendons en grand nombre au Banquet de l’AHME!

Après avoir commencer la finale Atome Nation sur la route pour les trois première parties, nos Panthères d'Embrun (Embrun 1) retourneront à domicile vendredi soir (18:30). St-Isidore mène la série en points, 4-2. On vous invite tous à venir les encourager, dans le but de les faire gagner vendredi pour qu'ils puissent jouer la partie décisive dimanche.

L'équipe IceDogs peewee mineur d’Embrun a terminer en première place dans le B pool! Grâce a ce résultat, ils joueront dans la partie finale qui aura lieu à l’aréna d’Embrun ce jeudi 24 mars à 18h30 contre les Romans. Nous vous invitons à vous joindre à nous pour encourager notre équipe locale!

Les Panthères d’Embrun Novice C-2 ont été couronnés "CHAMPIONS NOVICE C" du Tournoi « Bell Sensplex en collaboration avec l’Association d’hockey mineur West-End d’Ottawa » les 11 au 13 février 2011. Nous les voyons ci-dessous, fiers de leur trophées et bannière.
5 victoires en 5 matchs pour les glorieux. Victoires de 5-1, 9-0, 3-0, 2-1 et 3-2 (fusillades en troisième période de prolongation).
Un merci spécial à toute l'équipe d'entraîneurs ainsi qu'aux parents et amis qui ont encouragé l'équipe.
Un weekend très mémorable pour tous!!

Félicitations aux Panthères d'Embrun (Atome Nation 1) Champions de la 36e édition du tournoi provincial Atome de l'Assomption (27-30 janvier 2011). Un gros merci aux parents et aux familles qui ont mis toute une ambiance à chacune des parties. Merci à vous les joueurs de nous avoir fait vivre une si belle expérience.

Si les portes de l’aréna sont barrées tôt le matin, s'il vous plaît communiquez avec la municipalité au 613-443-3066. Un centre d'appel est ouvert 24 heures par jour et ils vont envoyer un message à la personne responsable. Si personne ne se présentent après 20 minutes, s'il vous plaît communiquez avec Denis Graziadei au 613-880-0830.

A noter que le Président de l’association doit approuver toutes les activités de levées de fonds. Cela inclut les levées de fonds tel que la collecte de bouteilles, lavage de voiture, le porte-à-porte, etc. Svp envoyer un courriel au président de l’AHME à president@emha-ahme.com.

L'AHME accueille 8 équipes Bantam et 8 équipes Midget de la grande région d'Ottawa en fin de semaine, du 12 au 14 novembre 2010. Venez voir de bonnes parties de hockey et venez encourager vos Panthères d'Embrun! Il y aura des jeux, des tirages, une vente de pâtisseries et l'entrée est gratuite. Pour améliorer notre site web bilingue (sans l'outil de traduction Google), nous avons fait quelques changements de structure. Ceci peut avoir un impact sur les pages web que vous avez sauvegardées dans votre navigateur web.
- Toutes les pages en anglais vont maintenant être placées dans le répertoire /en/ (http://www.emha-ahme.com/en/). Le contenu en français sera placé dans le répertoire /fr/ (http://www.emha-ahme.com/fr/).
- De plus, les extensions des fichiers de chaque page web vont être changées de .shtml à .php. Ceci permettra d’offrir des pages avec un contenu dynamique.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:
To all coaches and parents of District 3, there will be a public consultation on Thursday February 25th at 7:00pm at the CASSELMAN ARENA. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the problems that we have with the lack of players at the Bantam and Midget levels in District 3.

I would like to invite all to a 70’s disco R/R party. All proceeds, 100% of the tickets sold, will go towards the Embrun Minor Hockey Association. In the cost it includes a lunch / buffet near the end of the night provided by La Petite Fourchette Catering. Costumes are welcomed.
Cheques made payable to Club Optimiste Embrun. There are a limited amount of tickets to be sold.

EMHA & District 3 Information
- Decrease or avoid activities where there is a crowd of people: there could be someone who is sick or at risk.
- Make sure players continue to shake hands with their gloves ON at the end of each game.
- Make sure players don't share water bottles or towels on the bench.
- Trainers must immediately inform their association R&S Director (Renee Roussel) of the number of absences due to flu-like illness.
- Presidents must inform the D3 Director of R&S of the number of missing players due to flu-like illness.
- The District 3 Chairperson and the D3 Director of R&S will decide if a game will be cancelled due to flu-like illness on a team.
Do not assume that games will be cancelled due to H1N1. The District 3 Chairperson, Nation and PGL vice-presidents and the District 3 Risk and Safety Manager will consult and decide to cancel or reschedule games, as in the case of inclement weather.
What you should know
H1N1, like other infections and viruses, can spread in two ways:
- Directly, from an infected person to another by coughing, sneezing or speaking closely with another person;
- Indirectly, when an infected person has infected a surface such as a door handle, cell phone or team water bottles and others contact the infected area.
Control and prevention
Here’s how you can help to reduce the spread of H1N1 and other viruses or diseases at home, at the rink and other public places:
- Wash your hands
Frequent and thorough hand washing, either with soap and water or an alcohol-based hand-sanitizing solution is the most effective way to reduce the spread of H1N1. Consider putting a bottle of hand sanitizer in your player's equipment bag to use before and after games or practices.
- Cover your mouth
Always cover your mouth with a tissue or with your arm, when coughing or sneezing.
- Keep your distance (Social distancing)
Try to stay one metre away from others when socializing, especially when a person complains of a sore throat and shows signs of a respiratory illness.
- Use personal water bottles
Send your player to the rink with his or her own water bottle for games and practices. Help the player choose their water bottle and use a permanent marker to write their initials, roster number and team name on the bottle. Bonus: if the player leaves the bottle behind, it should hopefully make its way back to the team and player.
- Keep your gloves on
Hockey Canada encourages players to continue shaking hands at the end of the game, but players should keep their gloves on to avoid spreading the virus.
- Stay home if you are sick
If you’re sick, let your coach know that you will stay home and follow your healthcare provider’s instructions.

BAUER HOCKEY STICK RECALL INFORMATION Bauer Hockey has issued a stop sale notice to retailers in North America asking them to remove the following 13 models from their shelves. Consumers in possession of these sticks should contact 1-888-734-0443 for more information.

Allstate, Emphasis Sports Marketing, and Spirit of Hockey, some of the ODHA’s premier sponsors will be providing a $500.00 bursary for two Branch members graduating from high school in the spring of 2010. Representatives will present the awards at the 2009/10 AGM in June 2010.

Coaches and teams may, from time to time, want to have on-ice helpers / volunteers. The EMHA encourages the use of EMHA players as on-ice helpers, especially those that need their volunteer hours. The EMHA recently reviewed the ODHA On-ice helpers policy and endorses this policy. The reference to age-division in the ODHA policy means Midget aged players can help Bantam teams, Bantam can help PeeWee, PeeWee can help Atom, etc. Please read and follow the ODHA policy when using EMHA players as on-ice volunteers.
